HaA Product Development is a full-service ISO-13485 certified medical design and development consulting firm based in Wakefield, MA. We offer innovative, cost-effective solutions to expand businesses and provide true innovation. With a unique approach to design, we work closely with clients to clarify goals and objectives, and have a track record of working with both innovative start ups and major medical  Fortune 100 companies.

Work Your Way

We offer flexible hours, hybrid schedules and with time and trust fully remote is possible. We believe people should work when they feel sharpest. Need a break? Take it. Naps are welcome! Snacks, coffee breaks and frequent in house lunches also keep us fueled and motivated.

In House Training

We train in-house for the first few months to ensure you have a full understanding of our office culture and the job skill set, then after that, you can work from home most days, except for our once a week, in person team catch up day! We believe in what people do - not what degrees they have, so rising up and moving from entry-level to management is common in our company if you have the ambition.

Graphic Designer 

This is an hourly Graphic Designer role with offices located in Wakefield, MA. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for branding, creating and refining visual design assets for medical-device packaging, labeling, and product branding. Day-to-day tasks include branding (B2B & B2C) packaging layout design, production artwork, print preparation, and close collaboration with industrial designers, engineers, and manufacturing partners. 

Qualifications

  • Prefered Software:  Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

  • Strong visual, typographic, and layout design skills

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Motivated and a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment

  • Understanding of regulated or technical products (medical, pharma, or similar industries) a plus, but not required

Industrial Designer

This is an hourly Industrial Designer role with offices located in Wakefield, MA. The Industrial Designer will be responsible for tasks such as industrial design, product design, prototyping, design thinking, and product development on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Software: KeyShot, SolidWorks, Rhino, Photo Shop, Canva 

  • Fast paced sketching skills to communicate ideas

  • Motivated and a self-Starter

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team

  • Industrial Design and Product Design skills

  • Experience with Prototyping and Design Thinking

  • Experience in Product Development

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Mechanical Engineer

This is an hourly Mechanical Engineer role with offices located in Wakefield, MA. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for mechanical design, 3D modeling, prototyping, testing, and supporting product development activities on a day-to-day basis. This role involves close collaboration with industrial designers, other engineers, and manufacturing partners to develop reliable and manufacturable medical devices.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Mechanical Design and Product Development

  • Preferred Software:  SolidWorks, Rhino, Photo Shop, Canva 

  • Experience with Prototyping, Testing, and Tolerance Analysis

  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles preferred, but not required

  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and regulated product development environments

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills preferred, but not required

  • Motivated and a self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively

  • Understanding of Bambu and Formlabs printers a bonus

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred, but not required
